The Coding Monkeys have returned to work on Carcassonne after a few months of post-release polishing of their latest title Lost Cities. According to the German devs’ Carcassonne Twitter account, the Traders and Builders expansion for their excellent iOS board game adaptation is en route and should be here before App Store approvals close up shop for Christmas.
Traders and Builders will appear as an in-app purchase if it works the way previous expansions The River and Inns & Cathedrals did. The Coding Monkey’s app is so robust and there’s such a huge menagerie of expansions and variations to the physical board game that the devs could conceivably churn out IAP expansions for the rest of their lives.
