This is the fate that befalls most of my bridges.
One more release to mention before the curtain falls on the App Store – a sequel to Bridge Constructor, or at least, I think it is.
Bridge Constructor was exactly what it said on the tin – and nothing more, as I pointed out when I first mentioned it back in July. I have a sneaking suspicion that the newly-released Bridge Constructor Playground is a re-packaged version of the game I’ve already played. When I asked the publisher’s PR people about this, I was told very enthusiastically (if somewhat unhelpfully) that “Playground is the even better new BC!”
Take that as you will – I’ll try to dive into it this weekend and see if I’m right about that. But if you didn’t play the original, you can do a lot worse than a re-packaged Bridge Constructor. It’s fun and intellectually challenging, if not a little frustrating at times. There’s also a free version you can take for a spin.
