Who is Zenless Zone Zero’s Seth?

Seth Lowell is a member of the New Eridu Public Security’s Criminal Investigation Special Response Team. He’s a handsome lad with white hair, animal-like ears, and a fluffy tail who first shows up during the pre-launch special program, where we see him alongside fellow N.E.P.S. members Zenless Zone Zero’s Zhu Yuan, Zenless Zone Zero’s Qingyi, and Jane Doe.

According to his entry in the New Eridu archive, Seth is a passionate, hard worker who’s currently learning the ropes in Zhu Yuan’s team. He looks forward to the day that he’ll be able to hold his own in his job – and, according to Zhu Yuan in Seth’s agent record, she doesn’t think it’ll be long before he gets to that point. However, another N.E.P.S. constable states “the road ahead is still long yet.”

Seth’s agent record also features a quote from a criminal, which states that Seth “tries as hard as ever when it comes to gritting his teeth and refusing to cry,” but, on the other hand, some ‘indistinct yet striking figures’ claim that Seth’s “known around here for being pretty shady and well connected if you get my drift.” Hmmm, perhaps he’s hiding a dark side beneath that soft, fluffy surface?

Who are Seth’s voice actors?

Seth’s English VA is Nazeeh Tarsha, an American actor who has a heap of roles under his belt, including fellow handsome Hoyoverse husbando, Genshin Impact’s Alhaitham.

Seth’s JP VA. Takanashi Kengo is also accomplished in this field, providing the voice of Link in BoTW, Tears of the Kingdom, Super Smash Bros, and more, and his CN VA is 修缘, who you may recognize as the voice of multiple characters in the delicious RPG Food Fantasy including Chicken Steak, Cypress Cake, and more.

Seth build speculation

Unfortunately, we don’t know much about Seth yet, though leaks suggest that he’s an A-rank (boo, we were hoping for another male S-rank – poor Zenless Zone Zero’s Lycaon is gonna get lonely at this rate). Hoyoverse is yet to confirm his element or attack type, however, from the brief glimpses we’ve got of him so far, we can speculate a bit.

In the aforementioned pre-launch special program, we see Seth wielding a large, blue riot shield along with a baton. We can also see the top of his shield and his baton in his splash art on the official website. The shield appears to be modified in some way, and the large screws on its front leads us to believe that he can extend it to increase its coverage. Similarly, his baton appears to be a type of modified and electrified riot gear, as indicated by the unusual handle and the wires that wrap around it.

Therefore, we think it’s likely that Seth is a defense character like Zenless Zone Zero’s Ben and that he likely uses his shield to protect himself and his allies, parry attacks, and bash enemies out of the way, inflicting stun damage. The baton makes us think that he’s also an electric damage dealer, which could further enhance his defensive abilities, allowing him to inflict both daze and shock on his enemies to give himself and his team some breathing room.

However, as we mentioned before, this is entirely speculative on our part, and we’ll have to wait and see what Hoyoverse has in store for us. Of course, as soon as we get more info, we’ll be sure to update this guide, and we’ll turn it into a full build when we get the opportunity to test him out for ourselves.

That’s all we’ve got on Zenless Zone Zero’s Seth for now. If you fancy more Hoyo-flavored gacha game goodness, be sure to check out our Genshin Impact codes and Honkai Star Rail codes, then head over to our Genshin Impact tier list and Honkai Star Rail tier list to work out who to build next.
